Downton Abbey Party in Lebanon

So, did you see my original post on Highclere Estate and This Downton Abbey Party?

Here is the update from September’s Downton Abbey Gala in beautiful Historic Downton Lebanon, Ohio! Lebanon also does an AMAZING Horse Parade. Over 130 different species of Horse Drawn Carriages decorated with lights (yes, even the horses) the first weekend in December each year. Not to be missed. I’ll do a post soon on the upcoming parade. See the bottom of this post for 2 amazing photos from the 2012 Lebanon Horse Parade!

Back to the party:

This party was actually held in the lovely home shown below.  It is the home of Gerry Miller of Lebanon and of Interior Designer to the Stars fame. Mr. Miller’s clients included Ann Margaret and Kathy Hilton. Kathy Hilton now designs gowns and actually I think they are very pretty. Many photos of celebrities grace the interior of this home.

Drivers on hand to escort all guests to the Miller Manse in style, not necessarily Downton Abbey era, but awesome none the less!

We arrive to the sound of a live bag-piper. Actually the sound could be heard for miles as we heard it well before the drive up the long driveway to the stately location.

First there was a social hour where we met and mingled with other guests, most dressed for the occasion.

More drinking and talking, Drinking.

So glad Violet, The Duchess of Grantham showed up. Excuse me, The Dowager Duchess of Grantham.

I spotted the most handsome gent at the party! He later took me home!

The musicians were wonderful and were local from Lebanon, Ohio.

Fund raising begins with a live auction with proceeds to benefit the Lebanon Ohio Conservancy Foundation and word has it that they did indeed raise enough money to save a historic home in downtown Lebanon from being destroyed. So thankful that people VOLUNTEER to take on such a task and I enjoy supporting such endeavors.

Evening came to a close and waiting in the drive was a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Eat. Your. Heart. Out.

The infamous Downton Abbey or Highclere Castle at Highclere Estate
