Decorated in full holiday splendor, the Glendower Mansion will be open for touring for the Christmas holidays beginning Saturday, December 1, 2012. Come visit after the Horse Parade!
Decorated with the four themes from the November 3 luncheon, Glendower is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in December beginning with December 1, 2012 and ending December 30th, 2012. Hours are 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Admission is $8.00 adults, students under 18, $4.00.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Glendower Mansion, it is a historic Greek Revival style house located at 105 Cincinnati Avenue, U.S. Route 42, Cincinnati Avenue, in Lebanon, Ohio. Lebanon, voted The Best Hometown 2012 in Ohio Magazine is the County Seat for Historic Warren County, Ohio. You can read more about it here. Built in the 1836 by Amos Bennett for John Milton Williams, a Lebanon merchant, the mansion was named for Owen Glendower. Often referred to as “one of the finest examples of the Greek Revival architecture in the Middle West”; Glendower also boasts membership as one of many on the National Register of Historical Places in Warren County, Ohio.
